Migration to Linux

Tags: |

Triangulus uses all Linux boxes in house. We run no Windows software, yet we are able to communicate with the rest of the world smoothly and effectively. Triangulus has never paid one US cent for software licenses or purchases from Microsoft or any other software provider, we hum along happily and securely on free Linux software and solutions.

The main Windows alternative solutions are Open Office for Word, Excel and PowerPoint, the GNU Image Manipulation Project for image processing (Photoshop) and the award winning Mozilla/Firefox web browser. These are all very capable programs that allow users to read and write the major file formats smoothly and communicate easily between Windows, Mac and Linux.

We invite your inquiries into what Linux can do for you, your business and your creative endeavors.

Users and companies need to keep in mind that powerful programs (free or nonfree) need training for users to make the most of them. To make full use of OpenOffice you need as much training as you do to make full use of Microsoft Word.
